President Ramaphosa leads a South African delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting

HE President Cyril Ramaphosa will lead a South African delegation to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2018) scheduled for 19-20 April 2018 in London, United Kingdom, under the theme: “Towards a Common Future”. The biennial meeting is expected to discuss issues affecting Commonwealth members and the rest of the world.

The Commonwealth consist of 53 member states. These include 19 African members, 7 Asian members and 13 members from Caribbean and Americas.

President Ramaphosa is taking to the CHOGM a message that South Africa is open for business and is an investment destination of choice.

The meeting by the Heads of Government will be preceded by a Foreign Ministers’ Meeting scheduled for 17th and 18th April 2018.

President Ramaphosa will be accompanied by the Ministers of International Relations and Cooperation (Minister Lindiwe Sisulu), Finance (Minister Nhlanhla Nene) and Trade and Industry (Minister Rob Davies).
