The South African High Commission in collaboration with Wines of South Africa hosted a wine tasting event tiled ‘From the Embassy Cellars: Wines of South Africa’.
The event was attended by 26 wine retailers, restaurants’ sommeliers and Social Media influencers.
The wine selection featured 9 different wines, including well known varieties:
• Krone Borealis
• Graham Beck Brut Rosé
• Krone Rosé
• Pearce Predhomme Chenin Blanc
• Carmen Stevens Chenin Blanc
• Ken Forrester Terre Noire
• Radford Dale Vinum
• The Fat Man Pinotage
• Kononkop Estate Pinotage
The key takeaway from the anonymous survey that was conducted at the end of the event was: Ken Forrester Terre Noire and Kononkop Estate Pinotage received the highest average ratings.
