The synchronised work of all the law enforcement agencies is hitting criminals where it hurts most: in their pockets. To further strengthen our efforts to turn the tide against corruption, today I am announcing appointments to the National Anti-Corruption Advisory Council.

One can only look back with pride and appreciation at the science-based interventions made by government, led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, with the primary objective being to save lives and livelihoods. The daily new infections at the time made a number of sceptics doubt our ability as a country to respond adequately, but we never failed.

South Africa leverages SADC as its primary foreign policy vehicle for achieving regional development and integration within Southern Africa. At the same time, SADC is guided by the SADC Vision 2050 and the Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (2020 – 2030), the Industrialisation Strategy and Roadmap, and the Regional Infrastructure Development Master Plan.

The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of Pretoria, Professor Tawana Kupe and the President and Vice-Chancellor of Carleton University, Dr Benoit-Antoine Bacon.

Tomorrow we will commemorate the day in 1956 when thousands of women marched on the Union Buildings to protest against apartheid pass laws.

The project seeks to upskill South Africa’s young engineering students to make the shift toward greener energy alternatives in one of South Africa’s largest manufacturing industries.
