Of the around 6 billion vaccine doses administered worldwide, only 2% of these have been administered in Africa, a continent of more than 1,2 billion people. This is unjust and immoral.

Following the successful mission, Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment has praised the South Africans for their “professionalism and high-performance standards expressed by Canadian authorities”.

The sooner we are all vaccinated, the sooner we can open up sports venues to spectators. The sooner we are all vaccinated the sooner we can welcome tourists to our beautiful country.

Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla announced on Friday morning that government is in the process to issue digital certificates that are in line with standards set by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
