The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is a Regional Economic Community comprising 16 Member States; Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

WOMEN HEADS OF DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS
The Women Heads of Diplomatic Missions (WHDMO) is an association of women ambassadors accredited to Canada. The objective of the association is to:
- Foster communication, understanding and interaction within the group of women Heads of Diplomatic Missions;
- Facilitate and strengthen linkages between members of WHDMO and leaders in all sectors of the Canadian Society ;and
- Promote collaboration on issues of common concern, especially those affecting women
South Africa is the current chair of WHDMO
